The Diamondback™ Access Point is a multi-terminal access point (isolation switch) used as a direct connection point to a tracer wire system for purposes of locating buried fiber optic cables and non-metal pipes. The Diamondback™ is available in 3-terminal and 6-terminal, allowing for up to 5 tracer wires and 1 ground wire. Moving the switch up engages the ground connection, and moving it down will disengage the ground connection. When disengaged, the ground terminal can be used to ground the utility locate transmitter.

Use as a connection point to a utility tracer wire system. Move switch up to engage the ground connection and locate to the marker post. Move switch down to disengage the ground connection and locate from the marker post. When disengaged, can use ground terminal to ground the locate transmitter.
The Diamondback™ Access Point can also be used as a connection point for a cathodic protection system. Simply move the switch up to connect the anode cable to the pipeline cable, and down to disconnect.
